Department of City Planning and State Legislature on excessive voids of mechanical spaces

New York City's Department of City Planning proposed a Residential Tower Mechanical Voids Text Amendment to address the issue of excessive mechanical voids used to raise the height of residential towers.

Hayes Slade, AIA, Founding Partner at Slade Architecture, discussed the topic in the latest Crain's New York Business Article: Bill to close mechanical-void loophole would open can of worms.
