Department of City Planning and State Legislature on excessive voids of mechanical spaces

NY State Legislature has issued a proposal: Assembly Bills A5026 and S3820. The bills suggest to not only limit the ceiling heights of mechanical voids but the ceiling heights of all floors.
Hayes Slade, AIA, Founding Partner at Slade Architecture, discussed the topic in the latest Crain's New York Business Article: Bill to close mechanical-void loophole would open can of worms.
