DOB Update on April 3, 2020: COVID-19

Good afternoon Industry Partners, the Department has established a process for submitting Weekly Safety Inspection Reports electronically for those construction sites closed due to the suspension of non-essential work.  As detailed in Bulletin 2020-004, submission of these Weekly Safety Inspection Reports are only required for those jobs that require DOB-licensed Safety Professionals.

In addition, for the limited number of in-person transactions that remain, beginning Monday Borough Offices and all customer service locations will close at 2:00 pm. The attached Service Notice provides further information along with notice of additional service changes that are forthcoming. As always, feel free to reach out to Bella or myself with any questions. Be safe, Patrick A. Wehle Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Policy & Industry Relations Department of Buildings City of New York (212) 393-2042 (p) (646) 831-3910 (c)
