Dear members of the LPC community,
We are writing to let you know that LPC has new E-Filing forms and an informative webinar event coming up next week. As you may know, LPC launched an Equity Framework earlier this year that is guiding our agency priorities this year. Equity and inclusion are driving work across the agency. Related to our regulatory work, we have seen the benefits of electronic filing (E-Filing), launched in March of last year, including making it easier and faster for homeowner and small businesses to apply for their permits. Applicants no longer have to spend time or money for forms, drawings or photos to be printed and mailed or delivered. Additionally, we have staff available to help applicants fill out and file forms and submission materials. To that end, we have updated our forms to facilitate the E-filing process and make it easier for applicants to ensure their application is complete.

As part of our equity framework, we are also focusing on increased outreach to homeowners on how to work with LPC, to ensure access, fairness and transparency. On Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 6 p.m. LPC is hosting a webinar for owners of landmark properties who want to learn how to properly file an application and get a permit for work on their building. LPC staff will go through the E-filing process and requirements for submitting a complete application.
